High-risk students too often
perform poorly or even drop out of school. The stresses
of school, combined with the stresses of poverty, minority
status, lack of mentorship at home, being a returning
student, and/or various disabilities just become too much
for them. Sadly, they miss the opportunity to improve
their lives through education.
Even students who do not
qualify as high risk face an every increasing tide of
stresses, as changes in living increase in complexity. Students today
rarely just go to school. They work, and have family responsibilities that
add to their academic pressures. Even if they do not drop out of school, often times,
such pressures can undermine students' ability to perform at their true potential.
Filling the Need

School enrichment programs provide students with special help
in such basic skills as reading, writing, and math.
Though all to the good, these programs do not address sufficiently
the types of problems that students face outside
traditional academic topics. Fortunately,
there is now a way to help students avoid the tragedy
of missing out on a full life.
HardiTraining® is a classroom-based
program that strengthens key attitudes and skills
in students, motivates them to do well, and to stay in and
graduate from school.
Proven
in research and practice, HardiTraining® is an internationally recognized,
award-winning program that improves performance, conduct,
morale, stamina, and health. Several universities and colleges across the country
use HardiTraining® and the HardiSurvey® assessment to improve student
satisfaction, grade point average, and retention. Utah Valley State College,
University of California, Irvine, University of Southern California, and
Loyola Marymount University are just some of the schools that offer
HardiTraining® to their students.
